ABOUT CATTLE BARON'S BALL
The Orlando Cattle Baron's Ball has been a staple event in Orlando for 20 years. Normally, this event welcomes 1,000 individuals from the greater Orlando area for a western themed fundraising gala. The event typically features approximately 40 foot vendors for some quality grub grazin'. The event typically has a number of games, chance drawings, a silent auction with hundreds of items offered, a live auction, and a donation call to fund pediatric cancer research.
This year, the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball committee and the American Cancer Society has made the difficult but responsible decision to move from a live event to a virtual experience on September 19th. As a public health organization, we are committed to the safety of our attendees, staff, and volunteers. Under the best of circumstances, a cancer diagnosis can be frightening and devastating. Now, as the COVID-19 crisis grows larger every day, cancer patients, many who already have compromised immune systems, are more vulnerable than ever. Those affected by cancer are counting on us to fight this disease no matter what the circumstances. It is for this reason, that we are committed to continuing our mission by creating a virtual Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball on September 19th and continuing to raise funds for pediatric cancer research and other mission priorities for the people who need it the most: our patients, caregivers, and their families.
The virtual Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball will be streamed live and include the same robust silent auction, exciting live auction, and call to the heart to fund pediatric cancer you have come to expect at the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball. We also have some chance drawing favorites: Chances for Chow and Grape Expectations, as well as a new fundraising photo contest called the Baron's Contest.
